Aquarium fillers and filters

Sintepon - “cotton wool” for an aquarium filter. This filter material is used as mechanical filtration of aquarium water. Due to its density, synthetic winterizer does not allow even the smallest suspension to pass through. A filter in which synthetic wool is tightly packed can, in a matter of hours, remove all the turbidity and dust that, say, has arisen after cleaning an aquarium siphon or after transplanting and weeding plants.

The disadvantage of this aquarium filler is that it quickly becomes clogged. Even if the aquarium water is clean, within a week the padding polyester gets dirty, sticks together into a lump of dirt and thereby loses its filtering properties. Reuse is possible only after thoroughly washing the padding polyester under the tap.

Based on the above, it is recommended to use synthetic padding wool periodically when it is necessary to remove mechanical suspension, or it can be used in conjunction with other fillers.

Branded synthetic padding wool can be purchased in the aquarium department of a pet store, but it is much cheaper to purchase padding polyester in a sewing store that sells fabrics.
